didn't like the cat anymore. I wanted it to be immediately apparent
that this was a birdbath, and no thought to be given it at all. The
attention is to be on the birds, and I was afraid too much thought
would have to go into "What's that cat thing there?" Besides,
it's a bit too much period. |
Finally...a
final drawing. I got rid of the soaker and replaced him with a standing
bird. I wanted the cannonballer to be noticed last...as a sort of
punchline to the "joke." Hopefully, it's thought of as a
joke. |
