(These two sketches are really the same sketch: The first sketch is the one on the left. Four years later, I erased the head of the pig on the left to see if more interest could be generated when the pig's head was turned...nah (I didn't like the way it was coming out anyway). Then I thought about putting some kind of show costume on them...don't know where the Gay Nineties swimwear came from, but nah. Here's a perfect example of why artists hate to have their sketchbooks open for casual perusal: After I'd tried the different ideas and saw nothing worked, I simply abandoned it all, traced the savable parts from the sketch and finished the drawing outside of my sketchbook. BUT what's left is that goofy sketch on the right that's worse than what I'd erased. Hey, when I can't stand to look at it, I sure don't want anyone else to see it either.
