Ah, yes...all those years of training
really pay off when you're able to get the level of detail like I
achieved in this piece.

This
idea went through several iterations (and animals) before settling
on squirrels and a stilt stuck on one's tail.
Finally, the final drawing.
The
watercolor dyes have been applied, and I quickly moved to the next
step, the colored pencils.
Colored
pencils done. That is quite a red squirrel. I intended to tone it
down in the final acrylics step, but still have a red squirrel.
By
incessant meddling I lost most of the red squirrel, finally settling
for a reddish fox squirrel. I just kept chasing myself until I gave
up, quit and ran away.
