For the longest time, the caption for this C was "Canine Contacts" ("Contacts for Canines" was very short-lived) ...and I like it. The trouble is, I have another C idea, having to do with brushing teeth, and I'll need "canine" for the teeth tie-in. I was having a hard time replacing the caption, and finally decided to go with "Contacts Creekside" to make sure the viewer knows what's going on. When it comes to captions, I want to have every word (sometimes I have to settle for "most" words) start with that letter. But that isn't the only criterion. I don't like to use captions that have the correct first letter, but that letter sounds like another one (in this case, something like "city"), which is why I need "canine" for the other C...Okay, to be honest, it wasn't always so. The caption for the K with the beaver (K-01) has "Knotwurst" as its caption. I never noticed the sound when I came up with it; I was so lost for a caption, that when "Knotwurst" came around, I grabbed it. It was the first K word that I could think of that corresponded with the illustration. Forgive me. |
