   BEDLAM...

Since this design started as the initial letter in BEDTIME, the character is a teddy bear.

The final version of the teddy bear B as it appears in BEDTIME. This was done, as I recall, with the same technique I use now...just follow along...
The first sketch for the alphabet B. I thought the bear was too big for the bed. I wanted a bear cub, and it didn't look like a bear cub when compared to the size of the bed. This comes across like an idiot adult just being destructive.
...so I added another bear. Now I could make them smaller so that it looks more like what I wanted: Two cubs creating "bedlam." It may be just as destructive as the previous sketch, but this time it's "kids being kids." Just as irresponsible, but not nearly as offensive.
The watercolor dye stage, same as always. I meant to have an open book somewhere being catapaulted (I'm a reading advocate), but I forgot. I thought I could still add one during the colored pencil step, but I forgot again (HELP!).

Colored pencil step...almost done.

Acrylic paint added to finish things up. I'm glad these aren't my kids. Could they actually be two of ME?...

...of course not!
Uh-uh.
No way.
